Your cut length & fitment details

Cutting is free and optional. Give us your exact length below and we cut before dispatch — or leave it blank and we supply the full length of the option you pick (e.g. "Up to 3.6m" ships as 3.6m). You can also email it later with your order number.

After ordering: email your order number and clear photos of the complete left side, complete right side, front mounting area, rear mounting area and upper tipper rail to contact@alltarps.store — we confirm fit before anything is cut or shipped.

Description

Turn a suitable tipper into a bigger-volume truck for light, bulky loads.

Mulch, green waste, woodchip, soil and general rubbish fill a tipper by volume long before they hit its weight limit. A single-height aluminium hungry board lifts each side so you can load higher, do fewer trips, and keep loose material from spilling over the sides on the road.

This complete kit has everything to fit one board per side: two aluminium planks, the end caps, the mounting brackets for both sides and the bolts to fix them. Boards come cut to your exact length free — or full length if you'd rather trim on site. Clean aluminium — light to lift on and off, and it won't rust.

What you get

  • 2 × aluminium hungry board planks — cut free to your exact length, or supplied full length
  • 4 × matching end caps + end-cap rivets
  • Front and rear mounting brackets for both sides
  • 6 × tap-tight (self-threading) mounting bolts

Commonly fitted to light tippers such as Isuzu, Hino and Fuso · landscaping, civil, tree work and waste operators. Every tipper body is built differently, so we confirm your fit before dispatch — the truck badge alone isn't enough.

How ordering works — 4 steps

  1. Pick the length option that covers your board length. Need 3,250mm? Pick “Up to 3.6m”.
  2. Pay for your kit. Free pickup from Heatherbrae, or choose freight and we sort the cost with you before it ships.
  3. Email us your photos. Send your order number and a few photos of your tipper (both sides, front and rear mounting areas, top rail) to contact@alltarps.store — with your exact board length in millimetres if you want us to cut, or just say you'll trim on site. You can also leave your length in the order notes at checkout.
  4. We check the fit, then it's yours. Fitment is confirmed from your photos before anything is cut or dispatched — so you can order even if you're not 100% sure yet. If it won't fit, you'll know before we make it, and you get a full refund.

Full length or cut to size — your choice

Cutting to your exact millimetre is free — leave the length in the order notes or email it with your photos. Prefer to trim on site? Say so and we'll supply the boards at the full length of your chosen option (“Up to 3.6m” = 3.6m planks). Aluminium planks cut cleanly with common tools.

Once boards are custom cut they can't normally be changed or resold, so double-check your measurement. This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Made to order. Preparation time is confirmed once your fitment details have been reviewed.

Will it fit my tipper?

Tipper bodies vary between builders, even on the same truck model, so this system isn't guaranteed to fit every body. That's why we check fitment from your photos before anything is made or dispatched — no guesswork, no wrong parts turning up. If it won't fit, we'll tell you before we cut and refund you in full. See how to measure your tipper — ten minutes with a tape and your phone.

Installation

Installation requires drilling and mechanical fastening and is not included in the supply-only price. Local installation at our Heatherbrae workshop can be quoted separately.

Installation must not interfere with the tipper body, tailgate, hinges, latches, tarp system, lights or other vehicle components.

Pickup and freight

Local pickup is available from Heatherbrae, NSW. Australia-wide delivery is available — because these are long-length items, freight is confirmed after your order and invoiced separately before dispatch. If the freight cost doesn't suit, you can cancel for a full refund before manufacture begins.

Important load and vehicle notice

Hungry boards increase the available body volume but do not increase the vehicle's legal GVM, axle capacity or permitted payload. The vehicle operator remains responsible for legal loading, load restraint, vehicle dimensions, roadworthiness and safe operation.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hungry board?
A side extension fitted above the existing sides of a tipper body to increase the usable load volume for lighter materials such as green waste, mulch and general rubbish.

What is included with the complete kit?
Two aluminium planks, four end caps, end-cap rivets, front and rear mounting brackets for both sides, and six self-threading mounting bolts — everything to fit one board per side.

Are the boards cut to size?
Your choice — we cut them free to your exact length, or supply full-length planks for you to trim on site. Either way, fitment is confirmed from your photos before dispatch.

What trucks do these suit?
Commonly fitted to light tippers like Isuzu, Hino and Fuso, but bodies differ from builder to builder — so we confirm your exact fit from photos before dispatch rather than promising a badge fits.

Do I need a modification certificate?
Bolt-on accessories are often fitted within a vehicle's specs, but tipper body work can fall under the national heavy-vehicle modification code (VSB6). Depending on your truck and how the boards are fitted, certification by an Approved Vehicle Examiner may apply. If you're unsure, check with your body builder or an AVE before fitting. We supply the parts — we don't certify vehicle modifications.

Can I stack two boards each side?
Not through this kit. It's a single-height system, one plank per side. Double-height systems aren't available on this listing yet.

Do hungry boards increase my legal payload?
No. They add volume for light, bulky loads only — they don't change your GVM, axle capacity or permitted payload.

Just need boards, not brackets?
Grab a single replacement board or a pair — see our other hungry board listings. Brackets on their own are available too.

Need a tarp over the top?
We make those too. Ask us about a hungry board and tarp package.
